Travel info
Drink bottled or filtered water rather than tap water during your stay.
No additional vaccinations are typically required unless you're travelling to remote areas. We recommend checking the latest guidance from your local health authority before you travel.
Avoid carrying unnecessary valuables and keep personal belongings secure. The Winelands are generally considered very safe, but it's always sensible to take normal precautions.
Dress casually and avoid drawing unnecessary attention, as you would when visiting any unfamiliar destination.
If in doubt, follow the advice of locals and your accommodation hosts- they'll have the best recommendations for staying safe and making the most of your trip.
Areas we recommend: Seapoint, Camps Bay, Clifton, and V&A Waterfront and Bo-kap. We would avoid the downtown city centre.
