What date must I RSVP by?
If your invitation included a plus one, they’re welcome! Otherwise, we kindly ask for no additional guests. If you have questions on whether you have a plus one feel free to confirm with us!
Can I bring a plus one?
As much as we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only occasion with a select few immediate family exceptions. Feel free to bring your kids to the pre- and post-events. If you are bringing your children with you and require a nanny during the wedding day, please let us know and we can connect you to our venue's recommendations.
Are children invited to the celebration?
We recommend it for getting around the winelands and even Cape Town! If you are only coming into town for the wedding weekend, you could just use Uber Black.
Do I need to rent a car?
For guests staying outside La Cotte, we kindly ask that you make your own way to La Cotte for Saturday's ceremony and Sunday goodbyes.
For the pre-event on Friday, we have arranged transportation to Stellenzicht Winery for the reception and back to downtown Franschhoek and La Cotte at the end of the evening.
Uber is conveniently available across Cape Town should you need added flexibility, per local recommendations, please only book Uber Black.
Will transportation be provided for the wedding events?
Mid-February in Franschhoek is typically dry, and sunny, with daytime temperatures around 28°C / 82°F and evenings cooling to about 18°C / 64°F. The region has unpredictable weather and could be significantly cooler or hotter than these averages. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen!
Cape Town is usually a few degrees cooler than Franschhoek due to its coastal location, while Franschhoek enjoys the warmer climate of an inland valley. Both destinations can be quite windy at times, so be sure to check the forecast before planning a beach day or heading out for a hike.

Yes, both the pre-event at Stellenzicht and the wedding day event at La Cotte have parking available.

Where should I stay
Yes! Both the cocktail hour canapés and the plated dinner will include vegetarian and gluten-free options. If you have any other dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate them.

Colour blocking or soft patterns, textures, drama, chic. If you want to wear a dress with a deep v-neck, leg split, train - go for it! Avoid bright red, black/dark wintery colours, and white/ivory/beige/super pale pastels. The celebration will in part take place outdoors on grass, so we recommend choosing lawn-friendly footwear.
