What date must I RSVP by?
The dress code is Formal. Think block colours, floor-length or tea-length dresses, suits with ties or bowties. The celebration will in part take place outdoors on grass, so we recommend choosing lawn-friendly footwear. Please do not wear white, cream or beige, except for dress shirts. Please check out our Pinterest board for inspiration.
What is the dress code?
If your invitation included a plus one, they’re welcome! Otherwise, we kindly ask for no additional guests. If you have questions on whether you have a plus one feel free to confirm with us!
Can I bring a plus one?
As much as we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only occasion with a select few immediate family exceptions. Feel free to bring your kids to the pre- and post-events. If you are bringing your children with you to South Africa and require a nanny during the wedding day, please let us know and we can connect you to our venue's recommendations.
Are children invited to the celebration?
We recommend it for getting around the winelands and even Cape Town! If you are only coming into town for the wedding weekend you could also choose to opt out and utilize Uber Black.
Do I need to rent a car?
For guests staying outside La Cotte, we kindly ask that you make your own way to La Cotte for Saturday's ceremony and Sunday goodbyes.
From the pre-event on Friday, we have arranged transportation to Stellenzicht Winery for the reception and back to downtown Franschhoek and La Cotte at the end of the evening.
Uber is conveniently available across Cape Town should you need added flexibility, per local recommendations, please only book Uber Black.
Will transportation be provided for the wedding events?
Mid-February in Franschhoek is typically dry, and sunny, with daytime temperatures around 28°C / 82°F and evenings cooling to about 18°C / 64°F. The region has unpredictable weather and could be significantly cooler or hotter than these averages. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen!
Cape Town is usually a few degrees cooler than Franschhoek due to its coastal location, while Franschhoek enjoys the warmer climate of an inland valley. Both destinations can be quite windy at times, so be sure to check the forecast before planning a beach day or heading out for a hike.

Do you have any Cape TOWN recommendations?
Yes, both the pre-event at Stellenzicht and the wedding day event at La Cotte have parking available.

Where should I stay
Yes! Dinner will be plated, and both cocktail hour appetizers and dinner will include vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions you have when you RSVP.
